I was tortured while in intensive care at Lethbridge Regional Hospital.
Have you ever been tortured while under medical care?

Forums or Chat with comments?
I have used both forums and chats extensively in my 30+ years of computer experience, and honestly I say I don't have a real preference.
Chats are postings with comments but it does not continue much past the last posting date. All comments relate directly to the post at the top of the page.
Forums can continue to discuss the points of 1 post for a long time.
So quite simply which do you prefer Chats, Forums, or would you rather there be both?
Let us know!

Feeling The Past
Often I will be subjected to quick flashbacks of something that did not go well in my past. Before I have even have a chance to think about it I blurt out an expletive (&%#!@! is my favorite).
This seems to be about as far as my emotions go when bad thoughts pop up.
I don't let my past interfere too much on my present. I could wallow in self pity forever if I did let the past rule my life.
However, there are times when I will dig up a bad memory and look at it from all angles, including what I did (or didn't do) that may have caused the event. I let whatever emotions that were associated to flood through me and I relive the experience.
I do this so I remain humble and tolerant of others in all aspects of my life. It is difficult to condemn another when I remember so vividly of my own past.
There are far too many bitter people in this world who have let their past ruin their present. Instead of doing this use your past to become a better person and to guide those younger or another who may be facing similar circumstances.
Life is far too short and precious to be bitter and resentful, choose instead to become wise and congenial.
Feel free to borrow my cuss (&%#!@!) to quickly blow off bad thoughts that constantly plague you, but always remember to drag one of those bad thoughts into focus and learn from what you may.
Have a good day/night all!

Mental Considerations
Mental illness is rampant in any modern civilization, yet it is still viewed as a personality detriment. As if the affected person is mentally ill because of something he did wrong.
This attitude is very damaging and very wrong.
Who are the people that judge these others when they most likely suffer from some form of mental illness themselves.
I would even suggest that every person alive suffers from some form of mental aberration, there is no such thing as "normal".
If you think you are "normal" or "I don't have any mental problems", think again. I know you may think you are completely mentally stable but I dare you to ask someone who will tell you the honest truth, and don't ask your BFF because she is probably just as unstable as you are. If two people agree on something and they are totally wrong they will not believe the truth from someone else. Think about that.
People who know me think I am one of the friendliest and funniest people they know. Yet if I act "myself" around strangers they seem to think I am mentally ill. To some degree they are right since I have many idiosyncrasies that are not considered normal. So do you.
I can rant on and on about how every single person alive has some form of mental problem but I think I made my point. What I really wanted to write about is how you treat others you don't know at all, or at least don't know well.
You may think there is something wrong with them, but have you ever considered that they really are just another normal person. One who displays the quirks and kinks that makes us all human.
So when dealing with others try to use your sense of compassion and understanding. Put yourself in their shoes. You may find that they are not really "mental cases"; they are just like you.
Smile at everyone you meet today and be thankful that every person is unique; it keeps life interesting!
